Philadelphia - January 10, 2008 - For Immediate Release - WolfBlock attorney Amanda Layton has been elected to the board of directors for A Chance to Heal Foundation, a nonprofit organization specializing in eating disorder prevention.
"This organization has helped change so many lives by empowering people to have higher self-esteem and to accept themselves." said Layton. "I'm really honored to be able to be a part of that."
Layton, an associate in WolfBlock's Employee Benefits and Employment Services Practice Groups., counsels corporate and government clients with regard to welfare and retirement benefits. She is a frequent speaker on employee benefit topics and teaches courses on several topics, including employer COBRA compliance, consumer-driven health care options such as health savings accounts (HSAs) and health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) and employer wellness programs, for the WolfInstitute, a division of WolfBlock that provides a wide range of practical employment-related training to human resource professionals, in-house counsel, benefits administrators and other managers in an interactive classroom setting.
Layton recently co-authored two articles published in The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel: “Fulfilling the Duty To Inform Employees of Their Rights in the Multilingual Workplace” and “Employers Considering Wellness Programs Are Advised To Look Before Leaping.”
She is an elected member of the Burlington County Republican Committee and a member of the Women in the Profession Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Layton received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law - Camden, her M.B.A. from Rutgers University and her undergraduate degree from Villanova University.
