No Body's Perfect is an interactive educational program that demonstrates how cultural definitions and interpretations of beauty shape self-perception and self-esteem, and helps participants use this knowledge to elevate their own body image and self esteem.
Eating disorders are not just about our relationship to food, but our relationship to our body and to our society. In the past two years, we have been piloting the No Body is perfect program to facilitate a discussion about body image and self esteem. The program teaches participants to counter unhealthy messages and calm their inner critical voice in order to make healthy, informed choices for their bodies.
Participants will take an in depth look at their own self-esteem and body image to heighten their body awareness. Empowered with this information, participants receive help in formulating action steps towards feeling better about their body and their self as a whole.
