Parents have a key role in preventing eating disorders starting in early childhood. By encouraging an active lifestyle, healthy eating, and positive self esteem, parents can combat negative influences of peer pressure and the media.
A Chance to Heal offers training for parents on how to raise kids with healthy attitudes towards food and their body image and on what to do if you suspect your son or daughter has an eating disorder.
These ongoing programs feature speakers who are affiliated with A Chance to Heal. Please email us or call (215) 885-2420 for information about attending one of these events or hosting your own ParentTalk event.
