A Chance to Heal has limited funds to help the underinsured continue treatment. Patients from Pennsylvania with financial need must contact the financial department at their treatment facility to let them know they wish to continue their treatment but their insurance benefits have run out or will run out for the year. The treatment facility will then make the stipend request for financial assistance to A Chance to Heal Foundation on behalf of the patient. Facilities may request funds to support a patient for continuation of care for inpatient, intensive day, outpatient or family therapy.
A Chance to Heal currently extends stipend requests to four medical centers within the Greater Philadelphia Region
Each request must include information on the patient's motivation and commitment to treatment, documented financial need, documented financial commitment by the patient and/or family and indications of a patient's support system.
